Juma Twere is looking for friends, well wishers, donors, and philanthropists to help in financing the Sinoko Kids Foundation project to attain MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) as articulated in Vision 2030

East Africa is rich in resources, with abundant land and water. However malnutrition and lack of CLEAN water have been observed in many areas. The local people spend a greater part of their earnings on food, hence making it impossible for them to cater for education, health, clothes and other needs. Making ends meet is becoming very challenging. Many live below the poverty line, managing on only one meal per day. As a result of the pandemic and havoc that HIV/AIDS has caused in the community, in 4 out of 5 homes, one or both parents are dead. This has led to children having to take care of other siblings. I have been saddened by this developing situation in my community, and out of love for my people, I have conceived the projects of Education for Orphans, and called it .... Sinoko Kids Foundation. We have a school in the community and horticulture projects for producing crops on a large scale. We are located in the Trans Nzoia County of Kenya. We have eight volunteers and 126 kids and we can accomodate 80 people on the farm. We have started installing a drip irrigation system where we have a pump, a solar one, which is safe for the environment. Why do we need irrigation? It's because the rainfall cycle has been disturbed as a result of climate change. In view of all this, in future we will begin to increase the land that we have been working, from one acre, to seven acres .... so as to expand the project and grow more vegetables and to give us the ability to keep poultry and also cows for dairy products. The one acre project has been attracting great interest in the community as farmers field school and it has shown great potential to change and motivate the whole community. The land has a borehole which has been irrigating the crops. I need assistance to cover the cost of extending the project for larger scale production. Having done SWOT analysis, the project will be capable of sustaining itself when all requirements are met. I am looking for my friends, well wishers, donors, and philanthropists to help in financing the project to attain MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) as articulated in Vision 2030. http://www.vision2030.go.ke/ The amount needed is $1,000. It will be used to buy equipment, water pipes, tools and seeds for expansion of projects, school activities, horticulture, farming and dairy.
